About me

This is my personal and relatively uninteresting website about myself and my life in Spain.

My ego centric website started in in the late 1990s with the registration of www.teislev.dk, which was promptly named “Jens Jakob Teislev’s Historiske Website” (Danish for The Historical Website of Jens Jakob Teislev). At that time the website was used for everything from holiday photos to thesis papers from the university and results on the latest matches in the honorable pool matches held by The Study Group. The Study Group at that time was myself, Henrik Vinggaard Jespersen, Jon Bloch Skipper, Maj Billeskov Mortensen, Dennis Windfeld and Thomas Kjelfred Rasmussen.

The following years the website changed appearance on various points and was amputated in 2002 when I found out that it had been used as a thesis database by students of history in Denmark, and was black listed with several teachers at universities and colleges in Denmark.

After emigrating from Denmark to Spain in the summer of 2003 the website was more or less unused and remained that way till late 2006 and my introduction to the CMS experience and blogging. Firstly the Teislev Family had a go at the proprietary software solution Community Server 2.0. Then in September 2007 this changed and the Teislev domains were moved to a Joomla solution. Considering this too complicated I placed the main website on the same web solution as the one that drive my private web log – namely WordPress.

At present I am operating the holiday rental company Jakobs Villas (www.jakobsvillas.com) and finishing my education at the University of Southern Denmark. Feel free to read more about me on my LinkedIn Profile:
