The day of the vote

As proper members of the Spanish community it has come on our shoulders today to vote for the least appropriate politician to represent us. In most of the coastal areas in Alicante and Malaga more than 50% of the population is foreign, so I have decided to vote for another “perker”.

Considering that only 25% of the foreigners have received their voting papers, I believe that we will have little influence and the Spanish-Mediterranean corruption should take little notice of our attempt at introducing Northern European democracy and efficiency.

Long live the Spanish State!

Ahh.. having returned from the election one is astounded by the lack of coordination there. The room was crowded and looked more like a goat market than an official place. Initially they couldn’t find my name on their list and when they did find me they ticked me off, not asking for my vote till I was ready to leave. At this point Mia stepped in and gave me a folded envolope that I passed on to the assistant with a shrug. Wonder what I actually voted for! Should have been “Orden y Progreso” which – despite the pseudo facistic name (Order and Progress) is a party made up of foreigners..

Pasta Luego!
